[font "Arial"][size 2]Welcome to Big Fish. It's always good to try different things and have a wider variety of fishing knowledge. In North Carolina we fish for grouper and trigger fish also. It will help me cut down on my reply. If I knew where you will be fishing from. Are you going to be fishing on the Shore, Boat ,or a pier. Each has a different technique, but all are similar. For the groupers we fish on the bottom. There are a lot of ways to rig you tackle, but the basic bottom rig will work find. For the weight, It would depend on how much current you have and how deep the water is. I like to used at less 10 ounces of weight because we have a lot of current here. I use a 5 ought hook for grouper. Hope this help you.[/size][/font]
