Salmon river
The average day of Deadwater breaking loose is around the 25th of February.
Great post on Deadwater. It's not meant to be this year, though. We've put up quite a few photos of Salmon River ice conditions today. The NOAA Weather & Ice spotter provided some great photos and the mgmt @ The Village at North Fork took some shots this morning of the North Fork boat ramp. I'm sure you'd enjoy seeing them here:

Of course, all eyes are on Deadwater. Scuttle butt sez this year it might not happen for as long as two weeks. One seasoned Old Hand sez it'll break up before this Friday.
The Village at North Fork people and the IDFG Staff @ Salmon say they will keep us posted practically the second they learn it's cut loose. We're trying to get someone to take a video. It's always a Big Day when Deadwater breaks up!

Happy Fishing, John Parsons
