New River Access Bill to be filed
#25
Sinergy,

Yes I did read the article. And, I think you misread what Craig was saying. Just my opinion, however. More importantly I read the proposed "compromise bill" in it's entirety. That is where I obtained the quoted section of my previous post. None the less, I stand by everything I wrote, as being factually accurate.

There is so much misinformation about this. Case in point: Mr Terry Gunn, owner of Lee's Ferry, had been given poor information and posted in an Arizona forum some very anti access statements. He has since retracted those statements and corrected his position. There are many more similar examples. As an original founding board member of USAC, I have been blessed with knowledge from a lot of research, from a lot of people, that supports how the 6" x 6-ft rule came about. Again, it is from the 1800's and how RR tie stock was cut and floated to mills.

As for the potential case dismissal: If the "Compromise Bill" were to pass, as written, it would be game, set & match for both of the USAC suits. The result would be a huge time & money savings. It would be a simple win-win. BUT, and a big BUT, is that the Compromise Bill would need passage as written.

I am sorry if you interpreted my post as some form of personal attack. I assure you it was not. Not once did I say don't post. I simply asked for anyone and everyone to be careful about what they post. Nor did I call you any names. [#0000BF]Deleted[/#0000BF]

Oh, and I am sorry for the font size. It happened when I cut and pasted from the proposed bill. I tried to fix it, but could not.
