I was at CJ yesterday and got some clarification on whats closing...the only thing that is being closed is the dam itself...they said people used to have access to the whole thing...fishing was permitted on the cj side all the way down it...the park by the spillway is still open...you can fish anywhere you want as long as you don't climb up any dam structures...so the concrete walls of the spillway are off limits but anything below it is fair game....BTW...I didn't see one fleck of ice on the lake anywhere...not even in the narrows...clear as a bell....
