New to Lake Mead

I own a house in Vegas andgo down there at least very other month. I have met some great people down there and talked to some about fishing Lake Mead. Most will tell you it's a hard lake to learn and for sure fishing from shore will be a hit and miss situation. Almost need a boat to move around the lake on. I'm more of a stripper fisherman when they are available. Lake mead has a good population of them with many in the 4 to 7 pound range.
