[quote fishingrocket]Kodiak1,
I hear you and will try to get this thread back on fishing topics. I will attach a couple photos to that end at the bottom of this post.
I saw the subject line and thought this might be headed the direction of my efforts of the past few years, namely to take two different sports (that sometimes threaten to be boring) and capitalize by combining them in a productive way.
As to using guns for defense, I execute opposite to most of the posts on here because I am afraid of what might happen. I do not want to spend the rest of my life in prison (we all know what goes on there) for an action resulting from a few seconds of poor judgement -- or worse -- misinterpretation by the judicial system. I have a concealed permit but don't actually use it as such. I think we are protected legally for using a gun within our home for defense but beyond that would need to have the financial assets to secure a real good lawyer or face the eventuality of the big house. When I go on fishing trips, I remove the weapons from the vehicle before I go. I take my chances. The exception would be when I combine sports which I enjoy. That said, I would probably take a different approach if I was female (I would also have a better chance in court).

And there you have it.
