I remember the CJ Strike glory days. I moved here in 2002 from the midwest and Strike was marginal at best. Then all of a sudden around 2004(ish) the perch were EVERYWHERE! Then somewhere around 2005 You couldnt catch anything but 3" crappie. That is also about the same time I started seeing a drastic increase of people fishing at Strike, which is understandable. What I cannot understand is all of the people that were there filling bucket after bucket with tiny crappie and perch. That is what we in the midwest call terrible management. IDFG needs to get their heads out of where the sun dont shine and put some limits on these fish! CJ has massive potential to sustain an amazing amount of trophy size panfish but all IDFG cares about is the precious trout. Dont get me wrong I love to catch trout but there really needs to be some sort of a size and creel limit on the bluegill, crappie and perch in this state.
