Fished Sulphur Creek day after Christmas, got a late start and was on the ice probably about 11:30am. Ice was around 5-6" inches at the time, with the cold weather we've been getting since then I'm sure it is a lot thicker now. Water level of the reservoir is down but the fishing is still good. I had 4 kids with me so we only stayed for a few hours but had a steady bite the entire time. All fish caught were bows. Haven't hit my honey holes on the water yet but the fish are definitely there. I expect it to be a great fishing winter for Sulphur. Just a reminder also that the Sulphur Ice fishing derby is on February 2nd. The derby has been getting bigger every year and expect this one to be no different with the cash prizes. I've attached the derby information so pass it along to anyone else that is interested.
