I make my own lures, and making sinkers and jigs can be extremely harmful, pouring lead is very toxic. I have and still do pour lead but you need to be in a well vented area and wear a respirator. I learned how to make my own soft plastics, jigs heads and so forth all on youtube. And I bought some molds for pouring lead from do it molds. It is not as cheap as you think it will be unless you are using a lot of tackle.
