Caught another big one out of Echo Bay 12/9/2012

Never give up! But subsurface is the way to go. After the last plant last week all of us locals beat the water hard, I did not hear of one fish caught or any activity. 2 weeks prior it was ok after the plant (plants go in every 2 weeks) but died down much quicker than normal. Guys that have been fishing the lake since the 70's quit for 2 months or so with the Christmas plant being kind of the last hurrah. You still might get one so I will keep trying but I'll break out the fly rod and spinners then chase the trout to keep something tugging on the end of my line.
