I've just been super busy with work, family and school. I had some good days bass fishing around Halloween, but then no time. All those mild days around the first half of the month were killing me though.
I did make it out to The Narrows for a few hours last week. Nothing too exciting. I caught 34 typical bows:[inline "bow small.jpg"]
And a couple of smaller browns:[inline "brown small.jpg"]
It was very hit and miss. Almost all the fish came out of two little runs. It was fun action on my 4wt when I found them, though I was hoping to find some bigger browns this time of year.
One other interesting thing was that I caught a tagged fish.[inline "tagged small.jpg"]
I didn't realize I was supposed to remove the tag and send it to F&G. I had my license checked and the officer told me I should do that because some of those tags are worth $50. Darn, that could have payed for half a license next year. Oh well, now I know.
Jeremy, I love when the browns are dark like that. I have had a lot of trout do the death roll on me, especially cutts. Oddly enough, the browns that I have caught this fall have been very acrobatic. It could be that you were getting some post spawn fish that were worn out.
I was planning on fishing today, but then the forecast grew crappier and crappier. It's blowing snow out there right now, so homework it is [:/]
