I'd second Thistle Creek especially if it's just going to be a brief stop to fish. Action is usually very fast and many descent browns. Diamond Fork can be fickle at times and not all that uncommon to spend an hour with nothing to show. Thistle other than high water it's almost impossible to get skunked. You could also try Soldiers Creek in Spanish Fork canyon. Lower down is very turbid but the upper reaches are usually clearer.
