Loved your report and the video too! Madison reminds me of myself when I was a little girl! Way to go Madison!
I've been too busy to report....but couldn't stand it and had to join in. We went out on 9/14 and again on 9/16, out of Boulder Harbor. Fished a cove before you get to 33 hole. We've been doing real good with Kastmaster 3/8 oz. Smallies, LMB and Stripers, all on the Kastmasters. I've been using the solid shiny gold and Phil has been using the solid silver. Boils have been far and few between, catching most near shore. The boils that we have caught some striper in, we actually got some smallies in too. Casting a boil and coming up with a smallie was a surprise, as Phil was pulling out stripers from the same boil. Short lived boils, but still fun.
I saw the post earlier about the crawfish. The last 4 LMB's we've caught all had red crawfish in their bellies. I found out they are actually "Red Louisiana Crawfish" that were introduced as an experiment in the 1980's. Looks like they are thriving!
On 9/14 we brought home 10 stripers and 7 of a mix of smallies and lmb. On 9/16 we brought home 10. Had a great fish fry with the neighbors....and still had some to put in the freezer. It's been pretty good....going back again Friday!
