I too have learned the hard way that subtle humor is rarely appreciated on this board. I've written posts that contained a well intended word or phrase that could be misconstrued (with some effort) and it was like the hounds got released.
It is
that you feel compelled to apologize and defend yourself after taking the time to share a fishing story in a community designed for us to communicate with each other about our great sport.
Now get some ice on that hand and send GPS coordinates next time.
