Chesterfield they can kill off, and used to do so every low water year. I know that F&G along with Pocatello City were negotiating with Marsh Valley Canal Co for a reserve pool there, but I don't know if they got it or not.
I wish that they could get one on all the reservoirs, but sometimes it just isn't possible to get or buy those water rights.
Plus F&G don't have a big budget to work with. What some of you may not know is that Idaho's F&G do NOT receive any general tax or state moneys. They only funds they have are what comes from the licenses they sell. They have to walk a pretty fine line, and their salaries are dirt. They aren't there for the bucks and an easy job!! They are understaffed and can never do all they would like. Or what we would like either unfortunately!
