i live on the other side of the state but feel your pain. in the 70's and 80's i fished paddock res. and slayed 12-13" crappie and caught literaly hundreds of bass a day, granted most were 11 7/8" but i also caught lots of five, six, seven and one 8.8 lb. bass. and then it was drained dry on several occasions for the reasons mentioned to condie.
my take if these lakes had one westslope cutthroat , one steel head or salmon smolt , they would truck water in to save them. they care not about bass, or crappie ect. it's a darn shame......[:/]
