Nice report!
Sounds about like our trip! We were there late last month and it was mostly a "family" trip, not a fishing trip. Son-in-law and I did get some fishing time in here and there however. We did not catch any Carp or Walleye, but caught lots of smallmouth bass TROLLING, and did catch a few others pitching into rocks and even caught one pretty nice largemouth that way. We learned last year not to bother with the smelly anchovies on the family trip! (my wifes new rules...no anchovies in the family boat) The evening catfish bite was stellar and we lost count of those. Of course the kids caught dozens and dozens of sunfish and bluegill on the back of the boat at night. Surpisingly, we found striper boils clear down by IceBerg canyon, and caught about 1/2 dozen out of those boils that morning, but unfortunately it was the last day of our 5 day trip, but a few of them were pretty nice ones.
I hope the striper run is back on again next spring. It wasn't this year and we missed it [frown]
And also, I agree...WaynesWords is the best for that lake!

I used to N.ot have E.nough T.ime O.ff to go fishing. Then I retired. Now I have less time than I had before. Sheesh.
