OK, I put in at Marsing and ran up almost to the next boatramp on Sun. morning.
The bass fishing went well, my wife and I caught a bunch in the shadows in the morning. Now time for some cats. The water was so clear I figured we would just spot the fish and work to what we saw. We worked along the edge of the weed beds and below the shelfs. We spotted bunches but could not get a bite.
On spot in particular was gravel bar with light grass patches. There were about 15 cats cruising in the current. The would not touch bait or jigs.
I tried some deeper holding water not a bump.
We have been catching nice cats below marsing and above walters ferry, I think when I want cats I will fish those areas. I think there are plenty of cats in this area just harder presentantions.
