I totally agree with you. I don't know the cour d' alene area but Idaho falls is close to many areas that are world class for trout. Tons of streams and rivers close by with yellowstone and island park only a short drive away. Boise as well, it has about the same fish selection as twin falls but more places to fish overall. One thing I've enjoyed about twin falls is the wide variety of fish that you can catch versus the idaho falls area and Boise seems to be like that but better.
