Wow - swimmers itch from that clear alpine water? Guess it depends on where you were wading. I know a local pond - you get it from rubbing up on weeds - at least where I was fishing the inlet - there were no weeds, just a rocky shore, and pretty sharp drop-off. But did see some fly-flingers working WAY out from shore, though they had waders on, and hence - protected.
We also got into a mess of bow-lings. Found one with a bit more size and muscle, but didn't hit into any Kokanee there. Alturas Inlet - found some.
Wondered - are there Cutthroat and Bull Trout in Stanley too?
Good advice on the treatment. I gather a bad reaction you can get pretty sick, so don't hesitate to visit a doctor if the over-the-counter remedies don't satisfy.
