walleye, through the ice how-to
#5
I have tried a number of stinks while ice fishing, I cant say that I have seen any difference in the results of my catches.

A not much thought of idea is that in the winter water temps are wormer the deeper down you go until you hit the thermal depth where the temps are a constant 42 deg. (trick for summer is if you run out of ice on a 90 deg. day just put your sodies in your fish basket and lower them down below 20 feet. [Fresh water] ;-}

I do use a stink in the summer for my Gills; (I have had the bottle so long that the label has worn off. I don’t remember what the name brand is. Only that it is a catfish stink. I do swear by it, my fishing buddies only swear at it. (it do tink a little)

[cool] “Don’t forget to wiggle your jig.” davetclown
