I found the same roadblock on Rim Rd. that you did. Wink Although I was a few hours behind you, had more light and some guys working to remove it, as a warning to slow down. Apparently two small orange cones, on the edge of the road, placed a few miles before hand, is a universal warning of road blockage that I was unaware of. LOL Thought they could have made a little more effort to redirect traffic on a safer route...

This was my first trip to CJ this year. I have been reluctant to go, after hearing many reports of marginal results. We headed down to target crappie. It was a windy morning, and it's always a battle to keep the pontoon in an ideal positon. So we mainly fished the narrows, trying to escape some of the wind, and only hooked one. The electronics were showing schools suspended at about 12 ft., on the edge of the main channel. We couldn't figure them out though. Although I have only been once, it does seem to be much slower fishing down there, when compared to last year.
