once in a while I get lucky a bit. Catching can be easy, it's the finding that can be real tough! Landing too - there's a challenge! Getting caught w/o a net again... doesn't help!
I toyed with reaching for a lip, but remembered that shot of someone's thumb munched by a cat.... and then there's those spikes.

I think one lesson I've learned is there's time's that fishing can be a reel drag!!!
Heya Jeff - know what you mean. Things get kinda freaky after dark. I appreciated a little moonlight to load up by last Friday. And I've been out on the river or marsh after dark, and things get strange. Reflections playing games with your mind. Kinda why I figure it might be nice to "get" to a spot and basically setup up camp. GPS is good too.
Toying with the notion of getting a folding cot I could throw in the boat. I think my boy would enjoy the option of decking out.
