DeeCee...This is a bit off topic, but.....the land has always been owned, but more recently the landowners are tightening up on allowing people to cross their property to access the river. I've had to lock my gates and post no trespassing as well due to the lack of respect and destruction on my property. Obviously the reservoir is public access.
To answer your question.....yes I do fish it a lot. I live and work in Boise, but in the warmer months spend at least half my time in Mackay at my ranch, which is just below the dam at the reservoir. We've had this place for over 40 years and have seen a lot of change in the landowner's attitudes about people abusing the access privileges. I can tell you some interesting stories about people pulling their campers into my hay fields and setting up camp.....when confronted they tell me it's not my property and they have the right to be there. The few ruin it for the majority.
