Need help with a boat question

My son recently moved to Idaho but he is still trying to get everything up there, like his 12ft Jon boat. Looks like I'll be bringing it up for him next week. My question, will I need to stop at the border and get some type of permit to bring it from Utah into Idaho. Thanks for any help.
