Well, I thought I would jump in here myself. I wil report when I feel I have something worthwhile to report. I just like to be out and have fun and mostly goof off but I do take my fishing somewhat serious if you were to look in my garage.
I will post or reply if I feel I can add something worthwhile (maybe not this time) or in my mind amusing or entertaining. If I think I am amusing I very much try and do it good natured and not mean spirited unless I am unleashing at someone who I think was rude or down right hostiile and then I will try and get my mighty pen unloaded in one shot.
I am probably guilty of stirring the pot at times, (ok, I am) but I am just stirring the pot. I read quite often here but not everything and darn if I will read through all the posts on this thread either as I have seen some stuff i just don't like. .
I have learned very much through here and have come to the conclusion the regular contributers are pretty decent people, as are the sometimes ones. I agree, there are about 20 regular posters/contributers and about 20 off and on ones like myself. Plenty of random ones for sure. It seems alot of the random posters have axes to grind or just like to bash, even in this thread. I think they will still read and look for hints even when they say there is nothing worthwhile for them here.
I have disagreed on here for sure as we all have and have seen some rude, insulting, and downright hostile posts/replies/comments/etc. many out of the blue. I have also disagreed and seen much good discussion and learned lots from the discussion, sometimes swaying me over.
So, I guess what it all comes down to and the topic of the thread is that we all have access to some great information here from a bunch of great people with regards to being out doing what we like to do. It will probably grow in similar numbers as we have seen. Some of the lurkers or visitors will start to post, but the proportion will always be way out of balance. Some are shy, arrogant, secretive, or whatever, and most will not post. (rappin' now)
I follow one other forum (non fishing) and will contribute there similar to here. I also think when I buy stuff onine my review could be helpful but rarely leave a review, but I sure read them. Lazy? I don't know.
We are very lucky to have this resource and to have all of us (mostly) a part of it.
We are all a bunch of different people from many different walks or tribes with a few common interests we all come here for. That's my two rambling cents.
