I would feel "inclined" or "obligated" to post things here if people were making posts for my benefit.
They don't.
95% of posts here are only made in an effort to tickle people's own egos. You know that's true. It's pretty rare that people make a post with other anglers in mind... people are only here to brag, talk about fishing and trash talk other posters.
You know this is true if you have read the forums for a while.
I'll continue reading this board all the time, but you're damn
if you think I'm going to come post a big report after a good day of fishing. My ego doesn't need it and quite frankly, I don't ever want to see any of you out on the water when I'm fishing.
Two types of reports on BFT:
1) "I caught a bunch of lunkers in my secret spot, using my secret lure. Check out my pics. I'm awesome...ya, way awesome. Props to my fellow anglers."
2) "I caught/didn't catch a bunch of fish at Lake Whatever, using these lures, at this speed at this time of day. See the pics..
Number 1 is a post just to brag. Number 2 is a post that just creates overcrowding at local place... oh, and it is also a brag.
I don't feel bad at all for not posting and I never will.
