Stinky dead fish on shore

I'm pretty new to bowfishing, though I've had dealings with carp for years. I concur with all the comments - noone wants carp stinking up the banks, especially the landowners.

They do make good bait. One of these days one's going to land in my smoker! When bowfishings I've had some "shots" that released before I could land them. I've also seen that a few cuts or stabs don't do these beasts in. They are pretty dang hardy!

But the bow-fishing ethics I've head involve being sure to puncture the airsac, so the carp will sink, not float, and serve to feed the eco-system.

I can whole-heartedly confirm that catfish like carp guts!
