Hello, I just registered because I feel called out as one of thore 270 lurkers on the sight. I've been one for a couple of months now. Here's a couple of reasons why.
Living in eastern Idaho, my home waters have been covered in at least a dozen guidebooks giving all the where, when and how information anyone could need to fish here.
This forum provides a huge amount if information for the rest of the state. It's really the only source for anything on the Snake below American Falls, and I've enjoyed searching for information in all the old posts.
As a new convert to bass fishing it's been great to learn about other fishing possibilities within a few hours drive downstream from me. To most here the fishing stops at Menan boat ramp.
Of course my first instinct when seeing a post about a place like Massacre Rocks is to ask Windriver what bank to fish? What lure to use? How far downstream. But I won't because it would take the fun out of finding out myself next week. The important thing is I didn't know there was a boat ramp or decent fishing before doing some reading here.
If you guys want a thank you you have it! THANKS! I,ll probably mostly lurk though. If someone wanted to know f the Henry's or SF is fishing better this week I'd answer, if you want to know what section and what size pmd to use its best to just go find out yourself.
