Pack/Travel rod and reel set up?

I actually have a little Daiwa travel rod, its a casting rod but Im not really impressed with the quality or the construction. Feels a bit flimsy and its sections dont fit together all that well.

I was considering trying one of these, I have an upcoming purchase at cabelas I need to make so If I add this on Ill get a $20 discount. Cabelas will usually give their gear a lifetime warantee aswell. I just dont know how big of fish would one dare take on a rod like this?
