The thing about that stream is it's consistency. While I probable got around a hundred fish on Sunday that was a fluke. It seems 90% of the time I get something around 40-60 per afternoon. I fish it easily 15-20 times a year for the past decade. I've had that rod 7 years. I don't really count except occasional for the first half hour or so. I think most people have a rough idea how many fish the caught in an outing without counting. Granted on any other stream I fish or rod I own the numbers caught vary way too much for me to make a reasonable long term estimation. But that is the stream by far and a way I fish the most since a few year before the first time I met you. I use the same rod and reel consistently there. I don't use that rod and reel all that much elsewhere as I prefer a little longer rod when I have more room or lighter rod where the fish are typically smaller in tight quarters. Anyway that rod besides being a ugly brown to start has been banged against canyon walls and trees so many times it isn't pretty. Just very reliable.
