You asked for access points on the Ogden.I can't think of too many stretches of the Ogden that are not accessible. Even in the canyon where all the cabins are. Yeah Im sure most of it is technically private..but I have never been told I was tresspassing, and thats where I do 99.999% of my fishing. It seems to me like as long as you are wading up the river and not walking through peoples yards no one will bother you. I think one reason that the Ogden is that way is because most of the houses in the canyon are vacation rentals so no one really cares.
The river from the mouth of the canyon all the way through town as far as I know is 100% open to the public.
I totally agree with HTF on the Ogden being more of a challenge then a lot of other places I have fished. The fish are super spooky, there is quite a bit of fishing pressure and there isn't an inch of that river that is surrounded on both sides with overhanging trees and brush. BUT... There are tons and tons of fish to be caugh!. It seems to me like I catch more fish in the canyon... but bigger fish through town.
Now the south fork has been nothing but frustrating for me... I even have accsess to private property up there but still have yet to have an epic day on the south fork of the Ogden.
