Ok, now I get it. Thanks. I've only made it a couple bends upriver from the 'church launch'. I just get "stuck" anchoring up and fishing a spot for too long, rather than more exploring.

But I have heard the farther you go upriver, the more clear the water gets. Probably more and more into Walleye territory!
Probably by Amalga you're already seeing that.
