We are even with or a little better for fish at lower Granite, but thats a reflection of the high flows we had in the river this time last year holding the fish up. Once they came they came hard and fast. Hope the same thing happens this year. This is going to change pretty quick as the big push last May flips the 2012 vs 2011 counts.
Based on adult pitt tagg detections, Im figuring about 62% of the fish over Bonn Dam are heading for ID hacheries. So only about 27,000 ID fish have passed Bonn dam. I bet a fair chunk of that ended up in tribal fishery nets plus a couple in recreational catch. At least as after yesterday they only have to avoid nets.
We need alot of fish over Bonn to result in good numbers ACTUALLY getting into ID.
