They stock the Weber above Rockport and much of it is private and posted. They stock above Echo and much of it is private and some of it is posted. They stock below Echo and much of it is private and posted.
I'm seeing a pattern.
Maybe it's time for sportsman to get together again like during the stream access fight and get the stocking of these private areas stopped.
That young family now has community ponds for their enjoyment without the travel expense and I think it's only $3 to use the West side of Rockport, which has some nice beaches and plenty of nice fish. They have also recently installed porta potties, which is an improvement although I don't know if the extra money from that side was used to do that.
There are still plenty of free access points on many of Utah's lakes and streams, you may have to ask around to learn them, but that's the way it's always been.
