Finally got a chance to get back on the water. Launched out of Echo at 5:00 am and hit a couple of coves on the way up North. Had some pretty good luck hitting the LMB and SMB off points near big water. Big fish of the day was a 7lb LMB, followed by a 5 lb LMB on the very next cast. Pulled in a couple of stout smallies, big one topped 2.5 lbs. I was exclusively fishing football jibs with craw trailer dropping it in a couple feet from shore and dragging / jigging it out to 15-25 ft depth. Lot of fish hiding in the brush about 15 of water. We didnt catch a large volume of fish, i think 10-12 all together between 4 of us. The wind was blowing pretty good and made it difficult to focus on an area for more then 1 or 2 casts.
All fish were released.
