How's it going guys, just joined this fourm my name is Kyle im 17 years old and ive been addicted to fishing since as long as i can remember. I go down to my local lake atleast once a week sometimes ill be down there 3-4times a week. I fish in a decently big freshwater lake i live in long island so i would say its rare to catch atleast a 5lber ive never caughing a 5lber but thats my goal. Currently the lake i fish at is stocked with Pickerel, carp, Largemouth/Smallmouth, Bluegils, Perch, and Catfish. There are also loaded with shiners.. I catch the shiners for live bait. They work wonders but my question is how do i hook the fish efficently to keep him alive and hook the fish? I usually pull the fish up with huge hit marks on the fishes side or when the fish takes the float under i can never seem to him the... Does anyone have advice for this? Anything is highly appreicated. Thanks for reading this i look forward to making new fishing friends on this fourm.
