I found this online. It may help a little. I dont personally fish cover that heavy but when I fish the cover I make sure I use a heavy braid, heavy but narrow weight like a tungsten weight, and use a craw. I was fishing thick reeds this weekend pulling bass out of them with a 3/8 tungsten bullet weight, 25lb braid, trokar flippin hook and my pumpkin craw. I pulled 11 bass in 4 hours out of those reeds.
