Braided line is a good choice. I use braided line on my baitcasters because backlashes seem to not be as bad when they happen as mono. But, braided line doesnt stretch, or have memory so it wont curl up around the spool like mono. and personally, i dont use a leader line when using braid, and i still catch fish. But, you can try attaching a leader of flurocarbon to your braid by tying them together yourself or using a swivel.
