What am I doing wrong?

Fishing isnt easy right now. I went to a pond here in MD and on a good day I can get 10-12 bass of good size. I went Friday and Today with my brother in law and we got 10 fish in 2 days. The bite has been slow here in MD. The weather has been crazy and this week a very strong front came through and made us work hard for the fish. My suggestion is fishing about 6-10ft and fishing structure. I fished a Pumpkin Bustem Craw all day very slow and landed this. Probably the best fish of the year for me.
