Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.
There are a lot of great flies for catching carp. My favorites include Clouser's swimming nymph, Jean-Paul Lipton's "Carp Crack," head stand worms (basically a San Juan worm with dumbbell eyes), Crawfish Candy and Simi Seal Leeches. Think fuzzy flies with rubber legs in darker colors. If it looks like a damsel or dragonfly nymph, even better.
If anyone is interested, I will be tying carp flies at the Expo on Friday the 20th from 3:00-6:00 at Table #25.
Flygoddess - I will definitely stop by and say "hi" on Saturday morning.
