Hello everyone,
The names Curtis also go by CJ. I not so recently moved to Vegas (been here a year next week) from North Dakota. I'm originally from Washington and I'm used to fishing for walleye, SMB, LMB, and occasionally crappie and perch. I'm looking to catch some stripers from the shore and wondering what my best options for lures would be? Or if catching stripers from shore is even really possible out at lake mead? In WA it is illegal to use live bate (other than worms and leaches) so I tend to like to stick with lure baits (its just what I know). I read on some other threads that top water plugs were good in the evening and threadfin shad during the day. What color and size water plugs work well?
I was thinking I would head to to the government wash this weekend and try my luck there or maybe hole 33? If anoyone wants to join me give me a call or text 701-720-7888 or if someone has a boat and wouldnt mind me tagging along I would be down for that as well (will chip in for gas). Thanks in advance for any advice you might have.
