Actually, I would like to do different kinds of fishing, including fish as big as salmon and as small as crappie. I also like to fish for carp so I need pretty good casting. I understand that a rod cannot be good for all of these uses, but it can be acceptable. I used to fish for salmon with a 10$ pole and it was fine.
But anyways, I was just wondering which of the Ugly Stik rods is LESS flexible, Medium, or Medium Heavy. I am really liking Ugly Stik SPL 1100 90 (4-20lb, 1/8-3/4oz) which is listed as Medium action. But I am worried that it will be too Flexible and Im buying it online so can't physically check. I think there is a similar Ugly Stik but with Medium Heavy action, so maybe I should get that one....
