Govt Wash 3/22

Got on the water at 11, pokin around for stripers mostly throwing rat-l-traps and crank baits...after cruising around for an hour I was seeing a lot of bass in the shallows (and piles of carp or course). I hooked up on 2 lmb and only landed 1 - I know there is a lot of talk about seeing boils and debate about what they are, but today as the sun went down, there was definitely an unmistakable striper boil on the south side of govt wash - i was so close but so far! about 100 yards away at they starting crashing for about 1 minute...all in all, the bass are definitely active.
