I normally stick with white grey shad imitator cranks. You will probably need different types. Shallow running and medium and deep. For the deep I always go with the square bills now they don't seem to get hung up as often.

I always have a red crayfish medium running crank-bait for the spawning season to run over the beds. They are excellent for the spawn and I've notice the color red for cranks is good for me here in NE Arkansas in the spring for some reason.
