I saw a video similar to that a long time ago. It was at Green Lake in Washington.
There was a row of full grown ducks swimming along when the back one vanishes in a less than a blink. When similar reports started showing up they investigated. It turned out that someone had released their pet caimans (small alligators) into the lake, and there were two of them in there that were between 3 and 4 ft long.
