Only misinformation I am seeing is their value. They produce enough power to serve the entire Seattle area..... That's a lot of electricity. Cost to tear out, then replace them with a different power source is estimated at 500-750 million dollars. And even then to make the power source produce the same type of load supply it would need to be natural gas, not a renewable like hydro is . Which would also drive up your natural gas costs in those areas. Those costs don't even include monies to deal with sediment control. That's a lot of money that has to come from some place.
