Our passion for catching fish is a common thread but no more significant than driving the same make of automobile or rooting for the same football team. Beyond that, we are very different people with varying beliefs, temperaments, attitudes, and personalities; it is only natural that wires will get crossed and tempers will flare.
A little understanding goes a long ways, but it is usually a challenge for us to understand any viewpoint other than our own. I suppose the key is to not take anything strangers say to--or about--you on the Internet too personally, whether that be discipline from a moderator or a sophomoric joke at your expense.
Speaking only for myself, I appreciate the variety of opinions as much as I do the wealth of experience and advice to be found here.
Now, spring is springing--let's get out there and catch some fish!
