Hopefully that caddis hatch will be in full force in just a few weeks as I might get a chance to head down again. It doesn't get small midge hatches like up north. Normally I wouldn't had continued to fish with the nicked line but when a big fish for the creek is double digits I got lazy. Can't get too upset with losing a foot long fish.

Both of those streams have lots of rattlesnakes from what I've been told. While the lizards are active most of the winter I've never seen a snake at either place. I only fish either stream November to March. I think that corresponds with their hibernation period fortunately.
