Do it. White bass are tons of fun on the fly. I don't know if it's still there, but when I was in high school, there was a little pond at the Lindon boat harbor with a canal connecting to the lake. The white bass would run up into it and you could nail them on flashy white streamers. The water up in the pond was clear too, so you could often see the bass come out and whack your fly. Fun times.
